When You Can Vote
The 2008 Primary Election
Schedule:
- July 16, Wednesday:
Advance Voting begins for primary election. Voters can
request advance ballots by mail or visit any of the "in
person" advance
voting polling places, listed
here.
- July 21, Monday: Last
day to
register or change party affiliation for primary election
- August 1, Friday:
Deadline for voters to apply for advance voting ballots to be
mailed for the primary election.
- August 4, Monday: Noon
deadline to cast advanced ballots in person in the Country
Clerk's office.
- August 5, Tuesday,
Primary Election: Polls are
open! Advance voting ballots must also be received in the County
Clerk offices by close of polls.
The 2008 General Election Schedule:
- October 3, Friday: Last
day for voters who move to new addresses in Kansas to change
their address on their voter registration. If you have moved
within the state, please submit a
new voter registration form by
this date to show your new address. Otherwise, you will still be
able to vote, but you will need to vote in your former Kansas
precinct.
- October 15, Wednesday:
Advance voting begins for general election. Voters can
request advance ballots by mail.
- October 20, Monday:
Last day to
register to vote in the General Election. If you
have just moved to the state, changed your address but remained
in the same precinct, or you have changed your name, please be
sure and re-register or register for the first time by this
date. This is the last day also for new voters to register for
this election.
- October 31, Friday:
Deadline for voters to
apply for advance voting ballots to be
mailed for the upcoming general election.

- November 3, Monday:
Noon deadline to vote regular advance voting ballots in
person in the County Clerk's office.
- November 4, Tuesday,
General Election: Polls are
open! Advance voting ballots must be returned by close of polls.

where to vote on Election Day, you can also go to

VoterView. At
Kansas
VoterView, just type in your full legal name and current
address. It will give you your polling place for Election Day.
