My parents, Neal and Helen Stephens, instilled in me a sense of community pride and civic commitment. I learned through their examples that individuals can make a difference in local, state and national issues and that it is my civic and individual duty to play a part in the process. Currently, I serve as a member of the Hays Public Library Board of Directors and a member of the Hays VFW Auxiliary. I have been employed in a management role at the University Bookstore on the FHSU campus for over 14 years.

My husband, Glenn, and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary this Fourth of July. We have three grown children, Craig, Kevin and Michelle, and one adorable granddaughter, Kenadee Alexis.

I want the residents of Ellis County to experience the County Clerk’s office as a welcoming place to go for public information and as a strong elections office that works hard to inform and help the public.

While you are here, I'd like to also tell you about the services I will perform for you as Ellis County Clerk after you elect me to the office. I also can give you a brief overview of my job description as well as give my pledge of service to you.

Serving you well, as your Ellis County Clerk, is the best way I know to give back to my community and contribute to our local government.
